Nadace Otakar Vavra/Foundation of Otakar Vavra is a film foundation established by Jitka Nemcova in Prague. Foundation of Otakar Vavra called “Svetlo pronika tmou/The Light Penetrates the Dark” is dedicated to the famous film director Otokar Vavra. The foundation is a heritage of O. Vavra. Otakar Vavra is the one who wrote the original concept of education at FAMU Academy in Prague. His program was used until 2002. He was a professor of famous film directors such as Milos Forman, Jiri Menzel, Emir Kustorica, Vera Chytilova, Janja Glogovac,..

The foundation is also making a digitalisation of  his films and his work.
